My lawn is a bit patchy and I want to spread some grass seed. I still need to mow the lawn at least once a fortnight, won’t this damage the seedlings?

But I read that the sowing rate when creating a mini-meadow is only 3-4 gram per square metre. Is this correct and if so why such a significant difference?

Although September is usually a good month for sowing in the South of England, due to lack of rain, the seed I sowed 4 weeks ago is only just beginning to sprout and is struggling with competing weeds. With only half of the lawn completed, should I finish the job or wait until spring? And in your opinion why?

I have put down lawn feed and weed moss killer and the moss has turned black. I’ve scarified about 1/8 of the lawn but it’s very hard work.
